Now Playing: SMT – Devil Survivor

After completing my backlog recently, I immediately jumped into Shin Megami Tensai: Devil Survivor on the DS. Along with that I finished Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure also on my favourite handheld.

MOTHER 3 Translation Patch v1.1 Out Now!

The original patch had some things to needed fixing and once again Mato and his crew of hackers have readdressed this to bring version 1.1 of the MOTHER 3 fan translation.

Of course, you’ll need a fresh copy of the game (not the old patched one) but that’s easily found on search engines.

Dragon Quest IX Gets 40/40 From Famistu

I’m not one for review scores but I tend to pay a bit more attention to Famitsu. Well it seems another game has landed the 40/40 score which doesn’t mean it’s perfect as a game per say but it’s worthy of playing at least once.

The Forgotten Game Gear Games

Last week while doing a bit of room tidying, I found a few Game Gear games in a bag. These weren’t the kind of games I had fond memories of but I thought I’d mention them here.

After Thoughts On Backlog Gaming

Looking back on my last post, it got me thinking. Did I really finish my backlog? Is there a real need to finish games you’ve hardly played? In reality, no one ever does thanks to all the games keep acquiring. I will be playing those forgotten GameGear games I kinda skimmed over (I found them only last week!).

Backlog Beaten At Last!

Yup, yesterday at approximately 1am in the morning I managed to beat Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King thus ending my year long battle trying to finish off unbeaten video games in my collection.

Mother 3 Handbook Released (Online)

Just a quick heads up to anyone waiting for the Mother 3 online handbook. I got myself a paper copy but the online version is pretty much the same except for that special “feel” you get with books.
